The Long Hair Kachina is associated with life-giving rain and the nourishment of the earth. Its long flowing hair symbolizes falling rain, bringing moisture needed for crops, flowers and growth.
Jerald Guy allows the natural character of the cottonwood to help shape each figure. Fine patterns are carefully burned into the wood, then accented with hand-painted color.
