Handmade Raku Ceramic Cat Sculpture
A one-of-a-kind handmade Raku ceramic cat sculpture featuring an expressive reclining form, whimsical face and distinctive crackle glaze. The elongated shape and playful personality.
During firing, the ceramic is removed from an extremely hot kiln and rapidly cooled, creating fine cracks in the glaze that are darkened by carbon during reduction. The unpredictable nature of this process gives every piece its own unique character.
