MaryAnn creates her monoprints by applying oil-based lithographic inks to plexiglass using rollers and brayers. While the ink is still wet, she draws into the surface with tools such as a palette knife, pencil, and Q-tips, removing ink to create expressive lines, shapes, and movement. The plate is then run through an etching press onto 100% rag paper.
Because only one print can be pulled from each plate, every piece is completely unique. Once dry, MaryAnn enhances the artwork with colored pencils, metallic paints, and gold leaf, adding depth, texture, and luminous detail.
