This handcrafted ceramic bottle by Bob Smith features delicate black lines that flow naturally across its soft white surface.
The distinctive pattern is created using real horsehair, which is carefully applied to the hot ceramic surface during the firing process. As the horsehair burns away, it leaves behind unpredictable carbon lines and markings. Because the process can never be exactly repeated, each piece develops its own individual character.
