Handmade Raku Ceramic Chameleon Sculpture
A striking one-of-a-kind Raku ceramic chameleon sculpture featuring a curled spiral tail, raised eyes and a colorful green, turquoise and orange design. The distinctive crackle glaze and sculpted details give this piece wonderful character from every angle.
During firing, the ceramic is removed from an extremely hot kiln and rapidly cooled, creating fine cracks in the glaze that are darkened by carbon during reduction. The unpredictable nature of this process gives every piece its own unique character.
